I love a good Co-Ord, which for those who aren’t sure what that is; it’s basically a matching 2 piece coordinating set. Now this is normally done with matching fabrics or textiles, but if you want to make it a bit different and unique it’s always a good choice to do one of the pieces in the opposite version of the other. By doing the opposite fabric you honestly cant go wrong because you will know that they will match and look good next to each other.

So with it being the 4th of July yesterday I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to bring out one of my favorite Co-Ord, which also happens to be in opposite fabrics. This 2-piece set is from H&M and it is a white and blue stripe linen short and while the top is from a completely different collection, it is still in the same blue and white though the stripes are just in reverse. This is the perfect example of how designers and stores will use reverse fabrics in a different collection for a season so that it will match with something they have already done and tie in to the overall theme of their brand. So make sure you keep an eye out for this while shopping because you’ll never know when you’ll find your next matching set!

For this styling on the blog I paired it with things that I would wear on a daily basis, a bit more neutral and sophisticated and summer appropriate, but for the fourth I paired this with some red converse and a red snapback something more American and holiday appropriate. This just shows you that wearing your favorite pieces with a few different tweaks can change and entire look. So for this look I paired the Co-Ord, with some grey Chelsea boots, a neutral fedora with a matching grey band, my signature rings, as well as my white key necklace for that extra pop against the blue top. Again simple, classic, and refined while still making a statement, one of my go to ideas when getting ready. If you have any other questions about this look hit me up in the comments and let me know what you think.
