| YOLO WITH YOUR BOLO |

Sometimes when it comes to fashion you just have to say YOLO because you really do only live once, especially when it comes to a Bolo, now I know what your thinking that isn’t even that risky to wear, and to me you are right, but for others it can be something of a risk. But bolos are gaining popularity right now in the industry, and with creative content developers. Its not a new trend by any means, cowboys have been wearing them through out history and some of the best ones can be found in vintage stores because you can’t beat the craftsmanship you’ll find on a vintage bolo.

Now with this look I am wearing it in a slightly unconventional way because most bolos are being worn with a buttoned up shirt and worn synched up all the way at the top like you would with a tie, which is a look all in its self, one that I also like to frequent when I want to change it up and not wear a tie. But as you can see here I am wearing it with a revere-collared shirt that is unbuttoned slightly and because I have chosen not to wear it synched all the way up it gives off more of a necklace vibe than a bolo. Though this is why I actually like bolos as much as I do right now and its because by simply sliding it down it can give off a completely different vibe changing its purpose and the look of your outfit.

So with this look here I wanted to style it with a nod to western and cowboy culture as you would say but again with a moody, edgy, simplistic take on that classic style. So to achieve that look, I of course have the bolo, which has this amazing black jewel in the center with a velvet cord making anything look expensive and also giving off some Victorian vibes. Then we added a western detailed white viscose shirt with black piping details, some simple black chinos, (because jeans would have been to on the nose, if you catch my drift). Then where the true nod to the classic looks come in is with my black Chelsea boots with the strap details and of course my wide brimmed fedora, which adds the final details, needed to this look.

I really love how moody these photos turned out and how simple and effective this look is, with out being to over the top. As always I hope you enjoy and hopefully you get inspired by this post and interpret it into your own everyday style.
