| PERCEPTION |

Perception can be a powerful thing, because one day you can be perceived a certain way then the next a whole new way, and just like a Rorschach print the viewer can sometimes see what they want and not the whole truth. I will be honest, right now with this blog I feel the perception is that no one looks at it or even cares if I post. This can sometimes make me not want to write anything. For example this post should have been launched last Sunday when I started posting the pictures to Instagram but instead I slacked and didn’t even write it because I thought no one would even read it, but then it came to me… Why does it matter what anyone thinks or if anyone even reads this! I started this blog for the third time because I wanted a space that not only I could be proud of but also as a space that even if one person was helped or inspired by it then I did my job.

This then got me thinking even more, because in this post I created, designed and made the jumpsuit I am wearing, and the reason I got into making my own clothes was because I couldn’t find the things I wanted to wear. So I had to create my own and its that feeling of having something that I’ve wanted which is unique and personal to me, was the whole reason I fell in love with fashion. Which is then again the reason behind why I’m doing this. So here we are fighting through the un-motivation phases and still posting when my normal response would be to just stop, but nothing worth doing is easy. So bare with me in these moments and know I am now less focused on producing a set day to post but more of a flexible schedule where I can post when I want. Which means some weeks you might get 2 posts and some 1 or who knows maybe I’ll want to give you a full weeks worth. Either way just know I will still post.

So like I said in one of the above paragraphs I made this custom jumpsuit, I am really proud of the design! I was a custom pattern that was tailored to my body, and as you might have guessed graphic, bold, and black and white are kind of my go to when it comes to fashion or anything else in my life so it only makes sense that I painted a Rorschach print on the back of my jumpsuit.

To style this piece I honestly wanted it to be pretty simple because all the attention is on the back, so I added a few simple accessories and a hat to top it all off. This can be considered risky because from the front the outfit can look incomplete but I thought because it had a bold metal zipper down the front that any other accessories with it would just clash. What do you think, and do you disagree? Let me know in the comments.
